My name is Claudiu-Nicolae Sonda, and I would like to welcome you to my personal website. Before anything else, let me thank you for taking the time to drop in! Now let me tell you a few about who I am, what I do, and more importantly how I can help you.
I am a young and enthusiastic International Relations Analyst at the start of my career. Originally from Lugoj, a beautiful town in Romania, in 2007 I moved to Italy. The University of Salerno introduced me to Political Science. In 2011 I earned the Bachelor's degree with my Research Paper on Political Rap, a piece of writing on the intriguing relationship between Politics and Rap music.
As of 2012, Linköping University has been my wonderful host. I have graduated in 2015 with a Master's degree in International and European Relations with a thesis on the role of the security dilemma in the conflictual relations of the wider Black Sea region. As for the short-term future plans, I am considering either Doctoral studies or a Researcher/Analyst position in a serious and professional think-tank or institute. I am currently residing in Germany, looking to improve my German language skills and to dive as deep as possible into the German socio-political system.
Regarding the professional sphere, over the last 2 years I have developed a passion for security, energy affairs, geopolitics, foreign policy, geostrategy, international affairs more generally. My origins and life path have guided me towards a natural interest in EU and NATO relations with its neighbours in the East.
As a result, I have been engaged in these matters on a daily basis, at first at a slower pace, but later on very intensely. What was at first a newly found curiosity, turned eventually into an attempt to nurture a high-level expertise in International Relations. Simply because I find myself at the beginning of my career, one must not assume I have nothing to show for.
As a matter of fact, over the last years I have been collaborating with Geopolitics.ro, The World Reporter, the Research Institute of European and American Relations, the Center for Political-Military Analysis of the Hudson Institute and Geopolitical Review on issues pertaining to international security.
Lastly , but not least important is what I could do for you. The aim of this website is to allow you to get to know more about me and my work, and to create a platform for further mutually-beneficial cooperation under any form or shape that you might have in mind. If you have similar interests and passions, similar career plans, similar ongoing projects, or if you simply consider having me in your circle of friends, I am available and eager to meet you!
I would like you to contact me with inquiries, suggestions, comments and feedback, proposals for collaboration. Also, I am at your disposal for professional services you might need in terms of research/reports/analyses. A plain and simple email can be the gateway to a successful and fruitful partnership.
Thank you again for your time!
